Electric mat and hydronic systems set in self-leveler, ohm-tested before and after the pour, with the thermostat run and labeled.
Sanding
Dust-contained multi-grit sanding with edge and corner work done by hand, no drum marks, no dish-out along the walls.
Refinishing
Stain matching on sample boards in your own light, then waterborne or oil-modified finish built up in proper coats.
Stairs & railings
Carpet-to-wood tread conversions, new flights, handrail and balusters, matched to the floor they land on.
how we do it
The five steps that decide whether a floor lasts
Test and prep the subfloor
Moisture readings on wood and slab, flatness checked with a straightedge, squeaks fastened and low spots leveled.
Acclimate the material on site
Wood sits in your house at working humidity before it goes down. Skipping this is why floors cup and gap in year two.
Plan the layout, then rack it
Direction, starting wall and transitions decided with you. Boards racked so seams stagger and end joints never line up.
Install with the right fastening
Correct cleat, adhesive or underlayment for the product and the substrate, not whatever is on the truck.
Finish, protect and hand over
Trim and transitions installed, floor protected while other trades finish, cure times and care instructions in writing.
