how we do it
The five steps to a basement floor that lasts
Test the slab
Moisture and flatness measured and written down. Everything after this depends on those numbers.
Build the vapor assembly
Vapor retarder and subfloor system sized to the readings, with the slab kept off the finish floor.
Specify below-grade-rated material
Only products rated for the conditions we measured, and we will tell you what to avoid.
Install with movement allowance
Expansion space at every perimeter and column, so seasonal movement has somewhere to go.
Finish stairs, trim and transitions
Stairs, base and doorway transitions completed so the space is genuinely done, not almost done.
